Maxim Elramsisy

Maxim Elramsisy is a Los Angeles based independent photojournalist and documentary photographer. Driven by curiosity, he tells stories about the intersection of sports, science, policy and culture with a compassionate and empathetic voice that emphasizes the humanity of his subjects.

His style captures the beauty in the imperfect as he tells stories intended to start difficult conversations and challenges viewers' perspectives and beliefs. Some of his favorite subjects to explore include race, sexuality, the environment, and the struggle to improve the human condition.

Maxim’s photography has been recognized nationally and internationally by the Society of Professional Journalists, Los Angeles Press Club, College Media Association, Journalism Association of Professional Journalists, and more. His work has been published in newspapers, magazines, and books.
